OUR IDENTITY

nosotros-1.jpg
We are landscapes, we are culture, we are music, we are tradition, and we are a warm and friendly community. We express and show our dreams in colorful shapes that give life to each handmade “mochila”. That is why each pattern is unrepeatable and unique. Each “mochila” takes approximately 20 to 25 days to be completely handmade by hand by our artisans who are part of the largest indigenous ethnic group in Colombia: THE WAYUU culture.

The culture of the woven is transmitted from generation to generation, perfected with discipline and patience as our mothers, aunts and grandmothers always taught us by saying, “The handbag must be beautiful” (La mochila debe ser hermosa). And when we made a bad face or complained for such a demand, they used to remind us that if we didn't feel all knitting movements in our blood, then it was not worth finishing it. By wearing this wayuu handmade piece, you wear more than a clothing item, more than an article or accessory. In it you carry dreams portrayed in colors, love for each artisan for their knitting point to point.
